2010 Energy Efficiency Tax Credit
Information
"Everything looks
fantastic! Very quick and quality work. Everyone on the crew
was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was above and beyond
my expectations!"
- Lauren & Mike,
Alexandria, VA

Don't forget that the 2010 tax credit for
new windows ends this year. If you want until next year our
prices will still be the same, but Uncle Sam will not still be offering up
to $1,500 back. Don't miss out on this opportunity.
If you don't want to pay for your new windows
right now that's just fine too. Take advantage of our
12
month same as cash option and don't let your tax credit slip away!
The stimulus bill states that a homeowner who
purchases qualifying windows in 2010
will receive a tax credit of 30% of the price of the windows up to $1,500. This is a big deal!
The trick is that many replacement windows on the
market DO NOT
QUALIFY. Not all Energy Star labeled products qualify and not
all windows made by our manufacturer qualify. In order
to qualify for this tax credit the windows must meet two requirements.
1. The windows must have a U-Factor of 0.30 or lower
(lower is better when it comes to U-Factors). The U-Factor represents the ability of heat to pass
through a product.
2. The windows must have a SHGC of 0.30 or lower. SHGC stands for Solar
Heat Gain Coefficient. This represents the ability of the sun's heat
to pass through the windows, and again lower is better.
Thanks
Loren! We learned a while back that when the products are
great and the prices are low we don't need to use the old hard sell tricks.
The test numbers that matter are the numbers that
print on the window's NFRC
sticker (example shown below). These numbers are often different than
numbers in a brochure due to variations in testing standards.
Luckily for all of our customers, OUR WINDOWS DO QUALIFY when you select
our most popular glass option. We started offering this glass option long before it was required to get a tax credit. It quickly
became our most popular option and now it is in very high demand.
In response to multiple inquiries, we've posted some tax credit related
reference material below. Please look around as much as you like.
When you're ready to learn more give us a call or send us an email and you'll be
on your way to new windows!
